成立宗旨

With the booming development of the information technology industry, various data for computation and storage are rapidly generated and accumulated. The rich information within big data far exceeds the scope covered by traditional mathematical and statistical modeling.

Data science is an interdisciplinary field composed of three major dimensions: computer science, mathematics and statistics, and domain knowledge. The research and teaching in the field of data science by National Taiwan University and Academia Sinica have long been internationally renowned and influential.

This program is a cross-disciplinary collaboration between National Taiwan University and Academia Sinica, with joint support and participation in planning and nurturing students. Interested students are welcome to apply for either the Master's or Ph.D. program.
